Lovely update. The long waited one. As you told earlier you have given the reason for Vikram's behaviour . In addition it's also mentioned that he has not done adultery and is true to Madhu after feeling his love for her. That's really good about him. Still such a shrewd, multi-talented, bold and courageous person losing his confidence in practising discipline at all circumstances is somewhat hindering though the concept adds substance to the story. He could have been wise enough to take his paternal grandfather as his role model instead of his dad. As per the story his grandfather is also a successful business man who has been true to his wife. Moreover his mother's ill-health is also a reason for his dad's behaviour, though not justified. It need not be the same with his spouse, if at all he got married.
Now Madhu being an innocent and culture bound women who respects her husband has no other option left behind but to forgive him, because their love for each other is true. Her gratitude towards Vikram will also make her to think in that way. One beautiful aspect that I liked is inspite of all these feelings Madhu's justified possessiveness overcomes and makes her feel sad for her husband's behaviour.
Somehow a man's indiscipline bound activities are justified in the name of love and a disciplined woman has no other option left behind but to accept him whole heartedly because she finds happiness only in the one to one marital relationship.
My views are only about the thought conveyed through the story. Above all the scenes described and the conversations between the lead compells me to read the story ignoring the hindrances.
